オールナイト野外ロックフェス「RISING SUN ROCK FESTIVAL 2023 in EZO」
This year, a total of 64,000 people attended this special two-day annual musical paradise venue.
More than 70 artists from a wide range of genres performed on five stages, greatly impressing the audience.
1年で2日間だけの音楽の楽園に、今年は約64,000人が来場。
5つの異なるステージで70組以上のアーティストが幅広いジャンルでパフォーマンスを繰り広げ、会場全体を熱狂の渦に巻き込みました。
"RISING SUN ROCK FESTIVAL" has a strong desire to introduce the best live performances of Japanese music to the world,
On Friday, December 22nd and Saturday, December 23rd at 19:00 JST, a special program will be premiered on the official RSR YouTube channel.
RISING SUN ROCK FESTIVALは、「極上のライブパフォーマンスを世界に紹介したい！」という強い思いを胸に、12月22日(金)と23日(土)の19時から、RSRオフィシャルYouTubeチャンネルで特別プログラムをプレミア公開します。
We will not only show you the best live performances that took place at the "music paradise for two days only," the vast venue surrounded by nature in Ishikari, Hokkaido, but also introduce you to the activities at the venue, delicious street restaurants, and all the other attractions of the RSR!
This year's program will feature 59 groups (Part 1: 23 groups, Part 2: 36 groups) , 59 songs, and will premiere as a special 8-hour YouTube program in total.
*First premiere will be delivered with the super chat function turned on.

RSRのサンステージに代表される大規模コンサートとは別のもう一つの側面をリポートする。
■What’s RISING SUN ROCK FESTIVAL in EZO
RISING SUN ROCK FESTIVAL (a.k.a. RSR) is the very first ALL-NIGHT outdoor rock festival in Japan since 1999. "Let's enjoy ROCK MUSIC in the vast field with rich natural surroundings." That was our first motivation to start RSR from nothing. We are proud to say that this year marks the 23rd time we have organized this festival.
At first, we started to remove tons of weeds in the vast ISHIKARI wilderness. The festival is like a wonderland that appears only for TWO days out of 365 days. We install the electricity, connect the water and build up the big stages. We also provide attractions other than shows: various restaurants and venders offering local HOKKAIDO food, the panoramic view of great outdoors and discussion booths covering environmental problems and other topics. One of the best features of RSR is that you can set up tents within the festival site where you can see the stages right in front of you!!
ライブ以外にも北海道ならではの味覚が味わえる飲食店や自然を満喫できるアトラクション、環境問題について学べるブースに至るまで、ステージ上で音が鳴っていない時間も楽しめる要素が満載。会場内にテントを張って一夜を明かせることも大きな特徴として挙げられますが、それ以外にも通常のコンサートやイベント等と異なる点はいくつもあります。
Based on DIY policy, there are no assigned seats, and we don't have any guide staffs. Several shows are running on at the same time at the different stages. You have to make your own schedule. You also need to think about what is the most appropriate clothes and shoes to walk through the unpaved track. Additionally, local weather in August is very severe and its temperature changes extremely. You should be well-prepared for bad weather, too.
RSRにはあらかじめ確保された座席もなければ、入場ゲートからステージまで誘導する案内スタッフも存在しません。会場内に点在する各ステージではほぼ同時進行でライブが行われるので、混雑や移動時間も考えてどのステージをどういう順番で観るのかは自分次第。舗装されていない土の地面の通路を歩くには、どんな装備が最適なのか？さらに北海道では8月といえども夜間は気温が下がり一気に冷え込むので防寒対策も必要となるし、急な降雨等天候の変化に対する備えも充分考慮しなければなりません。
We make only a few fundamental rules and regulations; instead, we ask you participants to think and act with proper manners. Not depending on others or provided services, we would like to ask you to DO IT YOURSELF. It's not too much to say that such attitude is the most important factor to enjoy RSR. FREEDOM and RELIEF from the day-to-day life is waiting for you, if you are on the right track. We wish you enjoy the very best freedom only for 2/365 days.
Today, RSR welcomes a lot of people from all over the nation. As the festival has been growing, on the other hand, we have faced various unexpected problems. We believe in the possibilities for the next 20 to 30 years.
今では、北海道内のみならず日本各地から多くの人が足を運んでくれるようになったRSR。規模の拡大に伴い生じる様々な問題と真摯に向き合っていくことも、もちろん忘れてはなりません。この先の20年30年にむかって可能性を信じ進んでいきます。
